  • ANTHONY FROM ALDERSHOT

Excellent service. Website made it easy to register the car with them,
follow up phone call came quickly after the start of their working week,
non-runner car collected promptly, and certificate of destruction reached
me the next day. They also paid twice what another site offered. Dealing
with them was so simple, but not Schofield.

  • STEPHEN FROM SURREY

Just to let you know had excellent service from you today, driver was very
polite and professional, would recommend your services.

  • BRIAN FROM ALDERSHOT

We just want to thank your company for the efficient service we had when
scrapping our vehicle yesterday. We telephoned in the morning and your
driver was there to take our car away the same afternoon. He was pleasant
and extremely skilful, manoeuvering the transporter into a very small space
    for a hassle-free removal.
We would wholeheartedly recommend ScrapMyCar to everyone and will be using
    you again if required.
    Thank you!

People also ask...

Is my online quotation guaranteed?

As long as the car is complete (with engine, gearbox, body panels, catalyst, battery and all the wheels) the price we offer is guaranteed for 48hrs and there are no deductions or administration charges whatsoever. Note that the car should be free from any waste and accessible.

How long does it take to collect my car?

Once you agree the price we will contact you within 30 minutes in working hours (we call and arrange a time/day for collection, typically this will be within 48 working hours). The actual collection time takes fifteen minutes; that's to load your car onto the recovery vehicle but it may take longer depending on the location of your car and how difficult it is to remove.

What do I need to provide at the time of collection?

To make the process quick have the registration document (V5C), a photo I.D, a recent utility bill, the car key, and locking wheel nut key if your car has alloy wheels, and any other paperwork you may have for the car would be useful.

What to do I do with my car insurance?

You can cancel your car insurance as soon as the car has been collected. If you cancel your insurance before the car is collected, then it is illegal for you to use it on the public highway.

How do your online quotes work?

We use our own bespoke quotation system to provide you with the best and fastest scrap price for your car. We're not an aggregator that hands your data to someone else, and it is us that will collect your car.

About Torquay Devon

Torquay, Devon, England, part of the unitary authority area of Torbay. It lies 18 miles (29 km) south of the county town of Exeter and 28 miles (45 km) east-north-east of Plymouth, on the north of Tor Bay, adjoining the neighbouring town of Paignton on the west of the bay and across from the fishing port of Brixham.
The average journey time between Torquay and London Paddington is 3 hours 18 minutes . On an average weekday, there are 8 trains travelling from Torquay to London Paddington.
The town's economy, like Brixham's, was initially based upon fishing and agriculture, but in the early 19th century it began to develop into a fashionable seaside resort, initially frequented by members of the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars while the Royal Navy anchored in the bay. Later, as the town's fame spread, it was popular with Victorian society. Renowned for its mild climate, the town earned the nickname the English Riviera.
The writer Agatha Christie was born in the town and lived at Ashfield in Torquay during her early years. There is an Agatha Christie Mile, a tour with plaques dedicated to her life and work. The poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning lived in the town from 1837 to 1841 on the recommendation of her doctor in an attempt to cure her of a disease which is thought likely to have been tuberculosis. Her former home now forms part of the Regina Hotel in Vaughan Parade.
